Risk Management - Risk Register Workshop

Formalised risk management is now practiced by almost all commercial and public service organisations. Policies have been developed and frameworks implemented, at the heart of which lie risk registers. Evidence suggests, though, that many risk registers are not the effective management tools they should be. In some cases, simply completing a risk register is viewed as the aim of risk management, while in others the content of registers is vague, inaccurate or misunderstood.

Risk registers should drive the management process, their content informing decision-making as well as providing assurance that threats to objectives have been identified and are being controlled. Facilitated such that it is highly participative, with considerable interaction between delegates, this one-day workshop is designed to assist organisations in the formulation of effective risk registers. It includes:

Delegate Profile

The workshop is ideal for anyone who needs to understand and make practical use of risk registers. This includes directors, heads of service, departmental managers and front-line supervisors, as well as those in specialist disciplines such as governance, compliance, risk management and audit/assurance.
